Now that the PMC has passed, we now have the check presentation to look forward to on November 2nd. The last update I received from PMC Headquarters stated that we are now past the $20 million mark, on our way to our goal of $24million.

I have elected to ride one more century ride, this one is with the Charles River Wheelmen, called simply the Fall Century, on September 17th. It will travel from Acton, MA, through Groton, Pepperell and Dunstable, then up into New Hampshire and back to Acton. It should be a pretty ride, with lots of foliage. This should be the last long ride of the season for me, until next Spring.

I was planning on conditioning for women's football tryouts for next year, but after giving that some thought, I have decided against it; there is just too much risk of injury for me to feel comfortable getting into the sport. If something were to happen, requiring a lengthy recovery period, my job will be at stake - I still need to pay the bills! So no go on the football (sad). But that's ok - I can concentrate more on biking!! And that's not so bad. (smiling)

I'm still doing one day per week at the gym, until the riding weather turns real cold, then I will go back to three days, plus the weekend Cyclopaths ride.
